Jacqueline Davies ND
Dr.
Davies is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and a Certified Bowen
Therapist. She is a member of the Canadian Association of
Naturopathic Doctors and sits on the board of directors for FIMA,
the Foundation for Integrated Medicine in Africa. During her medical
studies, she coordinated the Women's Health Awareness Week to
advance women's health initiatives at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and was presented with Naturomedic.com award in 2006, for her
pursuits in Gestalt psychotherapy and Naturopathic Medicine. She has
additional training in Homeopathy and is certified in Facial
Rejuvenation Acupuncture. As an eclectic practitioner, she draws on
her varied skill set to tailor individualized treatment protocols
for her patients.
Prior to joining Pure Med Naturopathic Centre in Ottawa, Dr. Davies built a successful practice in a North Vancouver multidisciplinary clinic. She is trained as a primary care physician and welcomes patients of all ages for prevention and treatment. While she works with many different conditions, Dr. Davies maintains a special interest in digestive disorders, women's health, mental/emotional stress and pediatrics. Her Bowen Therapy practice has allowed her to work with many patients suffering from chronic pain.
Philosophy:
No one is immune to the impacts of modern day living and many don't think about the stresses that can trigger genetic pre-dispositions for disease. If you change the internal environment that allows disease to proliferate in the first place, you eliminate the space in which it thrives. Personally, I feel that true healing can only occur when change happens throughout all aspects of the human experience. It must ripple through the physical body, spirit and mind.
